Stephen Colbert is working on the shooting death of Charlie Kirk

Stephen Colbert denounced the shooting of Charlie Kirk in an episode of “The Late Show” Wednesday night. His statement was made in a segment with pre-tapes that aired before opening credits were executed normally.

“Good evening, everyone,” said the strict Colbert. “After the screenplay for tonight’s show was over, I learned that prominent right-wing activist Charlie Kirk was killed in a Utah talk. Our pagrim dol’s opinion comes to his family and his loved ones. I personally remember the political violence of the 1960s. It was the extraordinary behavior of a madman, not a sign of what’s going on.

Kirk passed away Wednesday after being shot at a college event in Utah. He was 31 years old.

Colbert is not the only late-night host against Kirk’s shooting. Jimmy Kimmel took him to Instagram to end the “pointing his angry finger” after the incident.

“Can I agree that shooting another person just one day is a horrifying monster?” Kimmel wrote. “On behalf of my family, we send love to Kirks and to all the children, parents and innocent people who have been victims of meaningless gun violence.”

Donald Trump announced Kirk’s true social death on Wednesday afternoon. In his post, he wrote: “Even the great and legendary, Charlie Kirk is dead. He doesn’t understand the center of the youth of the United States better than Charlie, or he was loved and admired, as we, and now, with us.
