Who is Jenna Blunt, wife of Brock Purdy?

Brock Purdy has begun another NFL season with the San Francisco 49ers, with his wife Jenna Brandt cheering for him.

The couple was once a student at Iowa State University, but he played soccer and she was on the volleyball team. Blunt later transferred to the University of Iowa, but by July 2023 they were engaged. Purdy and Blunt got married less than a year in March 2024 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Brandt was Purdy’s biggest cheerleader, even after being called “Mr. Inlerevant” as the final pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Purdy proved everyone wrong when he started for the 49ers and defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers along with Tom Brady. The following season, the quarterback led the 49ers to the 2024 Super Bowl in Las Vegas.

Brandt congratulated Purdy on the field when the Niners decided their place in the coveted game. “The best feeling. God is good – always,” she captioned the pair’s photos and videos she accepted after the victory.

She grew up in Iowa

Blunt was born on October 26, 1999 and grew up in Sumner, Iowa with his parents and three siblings.

She attended Sumner Fredericksburg High School, where she played on the volleyball team for four years, and was two team captain. Brandt also competed in track and field, playing for the club volleyball team.

In the beginning of her senior year, she committed to the Iowa State volleyball team and graduated from high school in 2018.

She and Purdy attended Iowa together

After graduating from high school, Blunt headed to Iowa, Ames, Iowa, where he declared his kinesiology major. That same year, Purdy also committed to Iowa, becoming them as freshmen at the same time.

She was a competitive volleyball player throughout college.

Brandt continued his college-wide volleyball career as a setter for the Iowa State Cyclone. In her freshman year, she also tried folds for the US university varsity team and the US women’s volleyball team. She continued to play with Cyclone for three seasons to compete with international teams, including trips to South America.

Later in late 2020, the brand announced plans to move to the University of Iowa, writing on Instagram that she is grateful for the “opportunities, experiences, friendships” she created in Iowa. The student-athlete added that she was “punched up to join the Panthers.”

In 2022, Brandt concluded his college volleyball career, calling it “Dream-wearing,” Unijersey, and thanking the university for “life-changing experiences.”

She and Purdy became Instagram officials in November 2022

Brandt and Purdy had a social media appearance together in the summer of 2022, but they didn’t officially make Instagram until November of that year.

In a post on Brandt’s account, she shared a series of photos featuring Purdy and her family spending time on the farm.

In July 2023, Purdy proposed to Blunt at the Dock in St. Cloud, Florida.

In July 2025, Brant and Purdy announced in a joint Instagram post that they had quietly become parents, giving them a glimpse of the baby girl for the first time in black and white photos of the three’s family.

In August 2025, Brandt wrote “Our Little Secrets” in a photo of a maternity shoot featuring Purdy in another Instagram post.
