British Oscar Hudson’s feature debut, “Straight Circle,” is an absurd anti-war satire starring twins Elliott and Luke Tittensol, and was a big winner of the week of enemy critics, winning the grand prize and most innovative purpose awards.

Italian directors Duo Valentina and Nicole Bertani, Natalie Engen of French distributor Kinology, and Taiwanese actor Lee Hongqi, are compiled of “Straight circles,” known as “a colorful and absurd black comedy,” competing with “a two sold-out world protected to protect the competitive world from the Versted World.” They said in a statement.

“The visually impressive film was particularly impressed by the impeccable performances of the two main characters,” they added. “Straight Circle” said “a parable of anti-war at a time when border conflicts are present all over the world.”

“Straight Circle” also won the Most Innovative Feature Award section awarded by five ju judges under the age of 35.

London’s Imran Peretta’s first feature, “ish,” follows his 12-year-old best friend, “Ish.”

Italian director Giulio Berteri’s directorial debut, “Agon,” starring Italian judo athlete and Olympic gold medalist Alice Verandi, won the best indie production award. The sports-themed drama follows three athletes preparing and competing in a fictional Ludoj 2024 game in judo, released in Italy on August 29th and launched Mbi’s Italian theatrical release slate.

“Agon” won the award presented in this section by international film critic Fipresci.

Other winners of Venice Critics Week include the documentary “Time to Wake Up” by Italian director Federico Cammarata E. Filippo Foscarini.
