Cinema Guild purchased North American distribution rights for “Dry Leaf,” a follow-up to “What Do You See When You See the Sky” by Georgian Filmmaker Alexandre Coberitze, which competed in Berlin in 2021.

Meanwhile, “Dry Leaf” had its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival in August.
They competed for the Golden Leopard.

The film will premiere in North America at Toronto INTL. The film will be performing at the New York Film Festival on September 7th. Cinema Guild will be opening a film theatrical in 2026 at Selects Cities.
The theaters continued to expand nationwide.

Set along the quiet landscapes of the Georgia countryside, the “dry reef” follows Irakuri (David Coberize).

“Alexandre Coberize is a filmmaker with a rare vision and with a clear voice that we are honored with.
Film Guild President Peter Kelly said he negotiated a deal with Heretic Iona Steyce, who is responsible for international sales of the film.

Stais believes the Cinema Guild is a fitting partner in bringing the singular vision of Alexander Koveritze to its audience. The sales executive said the film is supposed to “connect with the audience in a memorable way” along with “unique style and deep human storytelling.”

“Dry Leaf” was produced by Mariam Shatberashvili and Luise Hauschild in a new problem film.
Along with Koberidze. His featured debut, “Let the Summer Never Come Come,” won the Grand Prix with Fid Marseille.
