Jacob Elordi opened up about Frankenstein’s transformation at a press conference held at the Venice International Film Festival on Saturday, August 30th. The actor previously wore 10 hours of makeup and became a star of Monsteroldi across from Oscar Isaac, and a star of Monsteroldi on the other side of Oscar Frankenstein with a horror flick from Guillamo del Toro.

Jacob Elordi reveals more about his enormous transformation towards Frankenstein.

The actor, 28, appeared at the Venice International Film Festival on Saturday, August 30th at the press conference along with Guillermo del Toro, director of horror flicks such as Oscar Isaac, Mia Goss and Christophe Waltz, along with Guillermo del Toro, director of upcoming horror flicks.

Taking his inspiration for making a film, 60-year-old Del Toro said he has been “pursuing creatures” since he was a child.

“I’ve always been waiting for the film to take place on the right terms, both of which are to achieve the extent that I need to achieve the extent that I need to make it different and to create it on a scale that allows me to rebuild the world,” the director said at deadlines.

Meanwhile, Erorudi shared that she is completely immersed in her role as Frankenstein.

“It was a container where I could hold every part of myself. From the moment I was born until I was with you today, it’s all in its character,” he explained. “And in so many ways, the creature on the screen of this film is my purest form. He’s me more than me.”

To get into the character in full, Elordi went through 10 hours in a make-up chair every day, following various profiles released on August 20th.

“There are so many different layers of costumes,” Erorudi told Exit, who converts into creatures with translucent skin. “When he was born, he’s wearing very little. His chest is open and his head is high. And he starts to experience pain. He starts to thrust his shoulders out, as we do as a teenager. And as an adult, he closes.”

But despite his strict “Monster Gram” schedule, Dello said the Euphoric Star was a true expert throughout the filming.

“He never came to me and complained,” the director told Variety. “He never came to me and said, ‘I’m tired. I’m hungry. Can I go?’ And he spent 20 hours of day. ”

Eroludi took on the role of the monster opposite Isaac’s Dr. Victor Frankenstein, months after Andrew Garfield took up the role, citing the scheduling conflict.

Garfield, who was initially announced in 2024 to take on the part, told Deadline he was “disappointed” when he couldn’t make it work in the end.

“But meeting Jacob felt really a coincidence, so I could hear, ‘No, maybe he needed that experience more than I did,” Garfield, 42, said. “It felt like he had a really epic time with the job and it was cool.”

And, as Del Toro revealed in a new interview with Variety, Erorudi’s “eyes” gave him a gig. “I watched Saltburn and loved his innocence and openness,” the film director said. “He played the victim of the Tom Ripley type personality and I thought he played it to a lot of extent.”

“His character could also be cruel in the high class. Jacob’s eyes are full of humanity,” Del Toro added to the outlet. “I cast him for his eyes.”

The Venice International Film Festival will be held until September 6th, with Frankenstein in theaters on October 17th and November 7th on Netflix.
