Like a father, like a son.
Simon Cowell shared a rare glimpse of his looks-up son Eric, set in an adorable Instagram post on Thursday.
The father-son duo appeared to be spending family bonding time in his trailer posing for the photo.
In the photo, 11-year-old Eric wrapped his arm around his father’s chair with a big smile. The “American Got Talent” judge was all smiling while sitting with his pet Chihuahua, Daisy.
“Everyone is happy,” he captioned the photo.
Cowell, 65, has usually moved away from discussing much of his family and personal life. However, he previously gushed about his son, whom he shares with his fiancé Lauren Silverman. His son said he saved him from a “downward spiral” after the deaths of his parents Julie and Eric in 2015 and 1999, respectively.
“I think I was in the downward spiral at that point, especially when I lost my mother,” he shared on the “The Diary of a CEO” podcast.
“I lost everyone, you know, I lost my parents. That’s the final thing I’ve said about the material things I have, everything meant nothing at that point. I was desperately unhappy.”
That all changed when he received a call from his fiancee (age 48) that he announced his pregnancy.
“When I get a call from Lauren that starts, I know, ‘Are you sitting?’ I know what’s coming next. “Yes,” she told me.
Eric was born in 2014, named after Cowell’s father.
Cowell proposed to Silverman in 2022.
