Donna Kelse cherishes the early days of her engagement with Taylor Swift, whose son Travis Kelse holds a memento from the milestone moment.
“Donna has already saved little things from this time, like photos, notes, flowers,” the source tells people only. “She’s very sentimental about it. She wants to remember all the details, so she’s been holding a memento since their first day as an engaged couple.”
Swift and Kelce, 35, announced their engagement on Tuesday, August 26th. Designed by Travis with Artifex Fine Jewelry’s Kindred Lubeck, the ring features a vintage-inspired look.

According to sources, “Taylor and Travis have been having celebrations since their engagement. They are not in the planning stage of their wedding yet. Now, they just want to enjoy being engaged.
“It doesn’t need to keep it a secret anymore and they’re happy it’s public,” the source adds. “Both families are overjoyed. Cheers, tears of happiness, everyone is excited about them.”
“My friends stopped by and sent me small gifts. They were all intimate and there was nothing at the top.”

The couple’s engagement comes after a whirlwind year together. Swift was first discovered in September 2023 while cheering for Kelce at a Kansas City Chiefs match. Since then, they have supported each other through Swift’s record-breaking Eras tour and Kelce’s successful NFL career.
Meanwhile, the proud mom exchanged Facebook cover photos after Super Bowl champions and pop superstars announced the internet-breaking news.
The NFL mom, who shares her son Jason Kelse with her father Ed Kelse, has transformed the image into a shot of the engaged couple’s throwback as children.
Both photos give off the vibe of elementary school painting day, with Travis on a blue background wearing a red plaid shirt and smiling sweetly for the camera. Meanwhile, Swift was posing against a white collared shirt, a black jumper tree, holding a lush twig in his hand.
The image change on Donna’s Facebook profile was the first public gesture of her stepmother after Travis and Swift’s engagement. She has yet to comment publicly since the exciting news broke.

Last month, people exclusively reported that Taylor and Travis are “talking a lot about the future.”
“They are in a really solid location and are in more sync than ever,” the source said at the time. “Both are everything.”
On July 24th, fans noticed a meaningful change in the couple’s dynamics when NFL athletes posted their Grammy Award winners on Instagram for the first time. The dump of the photo included 13 images of Travis posing with his loved one, seven of which featured an appearance from the Swift.
“Travis was the first time he posted Taylor on Instagram, not random, but intentional,” the source continued. “They were private in their own way, but this was his way of showing how serious things got.”
“There’s no pressure between them, but they’re very aligned about where things are heading. He’s safe and supportive and brings so much joy in his life. They’re really happy.”
