Rachel Sennott’s upcoming HBO comedy series has set the official title “I Love LA.” The series premiered on November 2nd, with episodes dropping weekly until the December 21st finale.
The news was announced with promotional image that Sennot is undergoing laser hair removal while boasting a new title shirt and underwear, as well as images of the first appearance of the show’s episode.
Details surrounding the plot of “I Love La” are loglines that simply read “A group of ambitious friends navigate life and love in LA,” and still remain unassuming.
Cenot, who created the series and created the executive, stars as Maia. The cast also includes guest stars such as Jordan First Man as Charlie, Josh Hutcherson as Dylan, Odessa Azion as Tallula, True Whitaker as Alani, Layton Meester, Moses Singlogram, Lauren Holt, Elijah Wood, Quenlin Blackwell, Josh Brenner, Tim Baltz, Freu Gutierise and Colin Baltz.
Along with Sennot, “I Love LA” is an executive produced by Emma Barry, Aida Rogers, Max Silvestri and Loren Scafaria. Sennot and Scafaria are directors alongside Bill Benz and Kevin Bray.
“I Love LA” is my first credit as the creator of Sennot. She is best known for executive produced and starring in Emma Seligman’s films Shiva Baby (2020) and Bottoms (2023), and serves as a co-writer for the latter. She also appeared in the films Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022) and I’m Previously Fun (2024) and Sam Levinson’s 2023 HBO drama The Idol.
