Chloe Fineman is leaving “Saturday Night Live” after seven seasons.
“After seven incredible seasons on ‘SNL,’ I’ve decided it’s time to move on to the next chapter,” the comedian announced Thursday on Instagram, along with a merry-go-round of favorite memories and sketches from the show.
“It’s a cliché to say, but working on SNL was the greatest privilege of my life. I still can’t believe I got to be a part of it.”
“I fell in love with this place as soon as I walked in the door,” she continued. “Loan (Michaels) (if you are reading this on a burner account) I want you to know that I am forever in your debt.”
Feynman praised his former co-stars as “the best in the business” and reflected on some of his favorite memories from working on the show.
“But it’s just a show. You respect the show so much that you give it your all, even if it’s incredibly stupid.”
The 37-year-old actress admitted it was “really hard” to leave the show, but said it “felt like the right time.”
“I’m going to miss it a lot, but the people who work there are my family and that place is my home. I don’t think I’ll ever be far away.”
Several “SNL” stars reacted to the news in the comments section.
“Congratulations Carlota ❤️🔥🫱🏼🫲🏼💃,” Marcelo Hernandez wrote. “SNL legend 😭,” Ben Marshall added.
Ego Nwodim, who left the show last year, commented, “Congratulations Chloe!!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾.”
Nwodim and fellow alumnus Heidi Gardner spoke of the show’s “challenging” on-set dynamic after the pair left.
“We’re human beings, so we have egos and we want things for ourselves and we want to be successful. And there haven’t been many times when we’ve been able to succeed in exactly the same way we wanted at the same time,” Gardner explained on Nwodim’s “Thanks Dad” podcast at the time.
Nwodim agreed. “On ‘SNL,’ it’s easy to get caught up in yourself and what’s working and what’s not working, how you’re succeeding, what you wish you could do better, or how I want what this person has.”
Feynman’s departure also follows the surprise departure of fan-favorite Bowen Yang in December 2025.
Last month, Yang revealed that showrunner Michaels convinced her to stay on the show longer than she originally wanted, as she was asked to mentor new cast members for season 51.
Feynman joined the NBC show for season 45 in 2019.
In the latest season, 51, Feynman became the longest-serving female cast member on SNL.
According to Deadline, Feynman is already planning his next project, the Netflix drama series Myron Bolitar.
She will appear on the show along with Colin Woodell, KJ Apa and Diane Guerrero, the paper said.
