According to reports, Princess Diana received a charm bracelet from Prince Charles after her wedding in 1981, and added a new charm to it every anniversary for the next 10 years. The collection of amulets he chose for her included ballet shoes, a polo hat, a pig, an apple, and a miniature of St. Paul’s Cathedral, where they were married. The other two charms formed the initials “H” and “W” of Princess Diana’s sons Prince Harry and Prince William, respectively. It is said that this piece was so cherished by the late princess that she rarely wore it in public.
This isn’t the first time Princess Charlotte’s jewelry selection has resonated with Princess Diana.
