Brittany Cartwright feels blindsided and hurt by publicist Laurie Krebs’ newly revealed romance with the “Valley” star’s estranged husband Jax Taylor.
“She feels more betrayed by Lori than Jax because she doesn’t have high expectations for Lori at this point,” a source told Page Six on Monday, noting that Cartwright found out about their secret affair shortly before TMZ published photos of them having a can-do at a resort in Mexico.
We can confirm that Bravo’s cameras were back on to capture Cartwright and her “Valley” co-stars’ reactions to the news. The Season 3 finale airs on July 29, and the multi-part reunion, which was filmed last month, begins the following week.
“When Jax and Lori rumors first started swirling two years ago, Brittany chose to believe Lori that nothing was going on,” the source continued. “She continued to work with her, continued to trust her, and this is how Lori will reward her?”
Cartwright, 37, filed for divorce from Taylor, 46, in August 2024, after first announcing their split in February of the same year. She claimed in her petition that they had been living apart since January 2024.
The following month, Taylor and Krebs sparked romance speculation when they posted photos on each other’s Instagram stories of themselves cuddling, posing for selfies, and kissing each other on the cheek.
Then blind articles started circulating online claiming that the two had sex in the bathroom of a bar in Canada during some kind of work trip.
Cartwright, who shares five-year-old son Cruise with Taylor, quickly denied the podcast chat the ex-girlfriends had previously shared, claiming he was “furious” and “everyone has gone crazy” over the “ridiculous” rumors.
She went on to describe Krebs as a “very, very good friend,” a “great publicist,” and “a very hard worker.”
But speculation continued, and Taylor denied the claims again in April 2024.
“Oh, what? Not again,” the “Valley” alum told “Entertainment Tonight” at the time. “It was all just hearsay. It’s just unfortunate that something like that happened. But yeah, no, nothing happened there.”
Krebs continued to represent the former couple, even though their breakup had not yet been finalized. It’s unclear whether that has changed in light of recent news, and Page Six has reached out to all three parties for comment.
“There is no way (Cartwright) would continue to work with (Krebs) at this point,” the source stressed.
“Lori has previously inserted herself into moments that should be about her clients, such as photo shoots and red carpets, but this time she inserted herself into her client’s divorce and crossed a line of no return.”
Krebs has since deactivated his Instagram account.
As for Taylor and Cartwright, allegations of infidelity plagued their three-year relationship and nearly five-year marriage since appearing on Vanderpump Rules.
But while Taylor celebrated achieving 18 months of sobriety in April this year, he has only admitted to cheating on Cartwright once.
