Ariana Grande has dropped another big hint that she’s rekindling her romance with ex Ricky Alvarez.
During the singer’s performance Monday, she changed the lyrics to her hit song “Thank U Next” and named it after several of her ex-boyfriends.
In the song’s original lyrics from 2018, the Grammy winner laments, “I wrote some songs about Ricky/Now I listen to them and laugh.”
But in her latest performance at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, Grande sang, “I wrote some songs about Ricky/We always find our way back.”
In a clip from the “Eternal Sunshine” tour performance shared by fans on social media, the audience immediately screamed at the not-so-subtle lyric change.
Representatives for Grande did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The “Winning” alum’s cheeky hints came just after she made headlines for multiple outings with Alvarez — nearly a decade after their breakup.
Page Six obtained photos of the couple, who dated from 2015 to 2016, going shopping together over the Fourth of July weekend.
At the time, the ex-couple was photographed leaving a Whole Foods in Boca Raton, Florida, carrying shopping bags.
The Grammy winner and her former backup dancer also spent time together in June, the same month that news broke that the songwriter had split from boyfriend Ethan Slater.
Photos of the two having dinner in Texas surfaced, but a source told TMZ at the time that there was “nothing romantic going on between Ariana and Ricky at this time.”
But during a concert in Austin around the same time, Grande tweaked the lyrics to “Thank U, Next” again, enthusiastically saying, “I’m still getting[her]back.”
Alvarez’s reaction was captured on camera as he proudly shook his friend’s hand.
The two appear to have maintained a friendly relationship over the years, and were spotted together in January 2019.
After a short-lived romance, the singer went on to date Mac Miller, ex-fiancé Pete Davidson, Dalton Gomez, to whom she was married from 2021 to 2024, and Slater.
On June 8, Page Six confirmed that Grande and her Wicked co-star had quietly separated after three years together. A source said the former couple had broken up “several months” before the news broke.
