Look what Harry Styles made her do.
Shania Twain blamed her absence from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding on the bride’s ex-boyfriend’s “Together, Together” tour.
“Taylor Swift invited me to her wedding, but I couldn’t go because I was already on Harry’s show,” the “Not Very Impressive” singer explained on CTV’s ETalk recently.
She referenced Swift’s brief romance with Styles, 32, from 2012 to 2013, admitting, “It’s kind of funny that that happened.”
“I had already made up my mind,” Twain continued, insisting that Kelsey “would have done anything to attend Taylor’s wedding.”
“It would have been really nice to be there too, but I was with Harry,” she said.
Notably, Twain served as the opening act for the former One Direction member’s 12-date residency at London’s Wembley Stadium, which concluded on July 4th.
Swift and Kelsea’s wedding took place on July 3 in New York City, and just hours later, Styles performed their breakup song, “Two Ghosts,” which was inspired by their short-lived romance.
The “X Factor” alum’s fiancée Zoe Kravitz is close to Swift, 36, and attended the Madison Square Garden wedding without Styles.
Kravitz, who got engaged to Styles in April, was photographed heading to the ceremony alone wearing a beaded mesh dress and strappy heels.
The 37-year-old actress was one of more than 1,000 guests who attended the star-studded event earlier this month.
Meanwhile, Twain wasn’t the only celebrity to confess that he didn’t take part in an A-list affair.
Ryan Seacrest revealed on his eponymous radio show last week that “after I asked him to come, Disney hired him to do a special for 250 people on the 3rd and 4th of Independence Day.”
The American Idol host, 51, said he was “torn up” but had “no choice” but to cancel because “it’s part of (his) job at Disney to do these things.”
As for James Taylor, he said he would “do” perform at the Tanglewood Music Festival, remembering Swift and Kelsey, 36, as he has done for the past 52 years of Fourth of July concerts.
“As you know,[wife Kim]and I have been invited to a wedding tonight at Madison Square Garden,” the 78-year-old performer told the audience.
