rundown
As for the exact timing of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey’s wedding, sources told ABC News and CBS News that the couple is planning a rehearsal dinner for the evening of July 2nd, and the wedding will take place from late afternoon to evening on July 3rd.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey reportedly tied the knot at Madison Square Garden on July 3rd, with the first event scheduled for July 2nd. For weeks, the exact timing of the wedding has been a mystery, but a source familiar with the planning has given ABC News more clarity on when Swift and Kelsey will get married.
Here are the times when everything is reported to be happening:
July 2nd Rehearsal Dinner
On July 2, Swift and Kelsea are scheduled to entertain about 100 guests at 6 p.m., a source close to the couple told CBS News, adding that they are holding a rehearsal dinner at the Infosys Theater in the Garden.
July 3rd wedding ceremony and reception
July 3rd is their wedding day. Events start early and last until late. Officials told both CBS News and ABC News that the ceremony will be attended by about 1,000 guests and will begin with cocktail hour at 4 p.m. The event is not scheduled to end until 4 a.m.
Some reports give more details and claim the doors will open at 3:30 p.m. The ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. And the reception is said to start at 6:30 p.m., but of course Swift and Kelce have not confirmed anything about this.
Officials told NBC News that the performance is scheduled for the evening. Sources told Rolling Stone that Swift’s close friend Stevie Nicks will be one of the artists singing on the song.
How both events are kept private
Officials told ABC News that both events have a no-phone policy for everyone inside, including guests. Tents will also be set up outside to help hide arrivals and departures from the public.
Additionally, sources told NBC News that all guests received NDAs to sign their invitations.
Swift and Kelsea were spotted in New York City yesterday ahead of the festival. A source told People magazine in September that the couple wanted their wedding to be “more private” and were currently working to have it held at one of the most famous arenas in the heart of New York City.
“It’s definitely a private affair and not a spectacle,” the source said at the time. “We are close friends and respect each other’s privacy.”
