Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey are in New York City ahead of their wedding, which is scheduled to be held at Madison Square Garden on July 3rd. Kelsey was photographed jogging in Tribeca. Meanwhile, Swift’s car was also seen heading to a private gym.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey’s first wedding event will reportedly take place tomorrow, with the couple officially arriving in New York City. Last night, Kelsey was photographed going for a jog in Tribeca, and Swift’s SUV was photographed on the way to a private gym that afternoon. (Although the exact gym has not been disclosed, Swift is a member of the Dogpound gym in particular, and was spotlighted for training there in December.) The SUV sighting comes shortly after reports broke that her private plane had landed near Morristown, New Jersey.
The couple will hold an intimate event for about 100 guests at Madison Square Garden starting tomorrow at 6 p.m., a person familiar with the plans told ABC News. The next day, around 1,000 people will gather at the arena starting at 4pm, and the event, which is believed to be a wedding itself, is not scheduled to end until 4am.
Swift and Kelsea are making every effort to keep their wedding private, and sources say there will be a strict no-phone policy for everyone on the premises, including guests. Tents set up outside the garden will be used to hide arrivals and departures from the public, officials said. Sources told NBC News that all guests also signed NDAs.
Kelce and Swift always wanted a more intimate wedding. On September 9th, a source told People that the newly engaged couple “wanted[their wedding]to be more private.”
“It’s definitely a private affair and not a spectacle,” the source said at the time. “We are close friends and respect each other’s privacy.”
Over the next few months, the wedding became a huge event. Swift has opened up about her plans for a big wedding in October, telling Graham Norton she’ll be inviting everyone into her “bubble.”
“I know it’s going to be fun to plan, because I think the only time weddings are stressful is when there’s less space[for guests],” she said, noting that then “we have to evaluate our own relationships to see if they’re going to be there.”
