Ruby Rose was rushed to hospital after breaking her ribs in a swimming pool accident.
The 40-year-old actress captioned a clip of the horrifying incident shared to her Instagram Stories on Monday: “Rest in your ribs and rest in peace for the rest of your summer.” “It’s broken, there’s more than one.”
Horrifying footage shows the Orange Is the New Black star stepping over the edge of a pool with a hose, crashing into the wall and landing in the water.
“I went straight to the hospital, I didn’t give them $200, I didn’t collect $200,” continued Rose, who set the clip to The L.A.’s 1990 song “There She Goes.”
The Australian model teased, adding a laughing emoji: “That’s your girlfriend!”
Rose also posted the video in a thread and further explained above the clip.
“And now I have to breathe into the machine (laughs). I landed perfectly on the right side of my ribs. The bottom two broke.”
In a follow-up post, Rose tweeted that she was on social media “one moment” and in the hospital the next.
“What a terrible Monday,” she quipped.
Rose compared her current situation to a similar injury she sustained while filming the CW series “Batwoman.”
In 2019, the star suffered two herniated discs after performing a stunt on a show. At the time, Rose’s spinal cord was nearly severely impacted and she underwent emergency surgery.
“Sorry, but what the hell did I do to go back to work on Batwoman the day after I broke my ribs and neck?” she wrote in the thread. “My ribs hurt so bad I thought I was dying!! I couldn’t feel my legs or hands. I was wearing the Batsuit!”
Reflecting on her latest injury, Rose claimed, “I just fell backwards into my own pool and broke two ribs, and they didn’t even pay me to get up or put on a bra.”
The actress is currently focusing on her recovery, which “will take many weeks,” and is asking fans to “send in recommendations for good books and shows.”
After one season, Rose left Batwoman in 2020, claiming that the show’s executives created an unsafe work environment.
At the time, she accused executives of forcing her to return to work after emergency surgery.
Warner Bros. denied the allegations, calling Rose’s accusations “defamatory and damaging” and “historical revisionism.”
Most recently, Rose accused Katy Perry of sexual assault in an incident that took place over two decades. As of April, the singer remained under investigation.
