Jeremy Allen White knows playing Chef Carmy on The Bear was a life-changing experience.

“For sure,” he exclusively told Page Six last week at the premiere of the show’s fifth and final season.

White has been working since he was a teenager, appearing on Law & Order and playing Lip Gallagher on Shameless from 2011 to 2021, but said it was The Bear that really ignited his career.

“Things have changed,” he said, adding that the role has given him choices.

“I got that talent, and very few actors are lucky enough to get that. It means you have options, you have a voice, you can decide what you want to do and what you want your career to be.”

“And I think ‘The Bear’ gave me that,” he explained.

The Emmy winner admitted she’s been lucky to have worked almost non-stop since landing the role on Shameless at the age of 18.

“I was really lucky to be consistent again and grow with the character.”

Another thing the FX series has given White, 35, is special skills in the kitchen.

“I’m not saying I’m great,” he said humbly.

“But I’m definitely better at it. Things like Sunday roast and short ribs baked in a Dutch oven are really delicious. I can make really good steaks, and I can make really good poivres. Like, meat and potatoes.”

White attended the red carpet event at Nine Orchards, dubbed “The Last Family Meal,” along with co-stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Matti Matheson, Liza Colon-Zayas, and Lionel Boyce.
