Travis Kelce declined to confirm with Tight End University co-founder George Kittle whether his wedding to Taylor Swift will take place at Madison Square Garden.
George and his wife, Claire, told “Entertainment Tonight” on Wednesday that they have received invitations to the wedding, but they “don’t know” where the wedding will take place.
“I actually asked Travis last night and he laughed at me,” the San Francisco 49ers player said.
George added: “I was half expecting a jumbo jet to come to the runway and put us on a plane somewhere.”
However, the footballer said he has “no expectations” for the wedding as he knows “it’s going to be amazing”.
The 32-year-old also teased that he would be “wearing a blue suit” to the wedding.
In a separate interview with “Extra TV” on Tuesday, George said the couple had told their wedding guests “no gifts” but they were planning to give them something anyway.
As for his “wish” for the happy couple, George said, “Have lots of fun with all your friends.”
George, Kelsey and sportscaster Greg Olsen held the 6th Annual Tight End College Training Summit in Nashville this week.
Swift went to the Sports Illustrated and Tight Ends & Friends concert on Tuesday night to perform “Love Story” with Laney Wilson.
In an interview with ET, George praised Kelce for not only attending the pre-wedding event but also for supporting his famous fiancée.
“He’s got great energy and love for the boys, but it’s just kind of fun to see him always watching her back and always being there for her if she needs anything,” George said.
The Kansas City Chiefs player and the “Karma” singer, both 36, began dating in 2023 and got engaged last August.
Page Six broke the news that Kelce and Swift will host a wedding at MSG over the Fourth of July weekend.
“Everyone has been sworn to secrecy,” a source told us.
The two discussed several other wedding locations, including Rhode Island, where Swift owns a $17.75 million mansion, before deciding on the iconic New York venue.
In a major hint about the wedding location, the Post confirmed Wednesday that a permit application submitted by Winnick Productions called for closing roads around MSG and setting up a public tent outside the venue from July 2nd to July 4th.
The permit also states that the event will include between 500 and 999 participants.
Additionally, sources told Page Six that Chiefs players have reservations at the Marriott Marquis in Midtown around the wedding date.
