Jelly Roll and Bunny Zoe’s divorce had been brewing behind the scenes for years due to lifestyle changes.
“Some people around them felt tensions rising as Jerry embraced a more faith-centered lifestyle while Bunny continued to build the outspoken and provocative brand that had always been authentic to her,” a source exclusively told Page Six.
“Whether it’s fair or not, it’s become increasingly difficult to reconcile these two worlds.”
The official continued, “Many people want to point out one thing, but in reality it was a combination of problems that had been accumulating over many years.”
“They came from similar worlds, met and bonded over difficult circumstances, but as time went on, their lives began to take different directions,” the source said. “Jerry has changed a lot over the past few years. His focus has shifted to his health, faith, family and the long-term legacy he wants to leave behind.”
The Dumb Blonde podcast host shared the racy images just hours before news broke of Jerry’s divorce filing.
Bunny shared a steamy photo of herself in pink satin lingerie. In this photo, she was kneeling on a brown couch and started undoing her bra strap.
“She’s getting her glow back,” she wrote above the photo.
“Bunny has always been unapologetically herself, which[Jerry]admires, but there were times when she felt like she no longer aligned with the direction of her life and the direction she envisioned for her future,” the source said.
In January, Bunny revealed how she and Jelly Roll were trying to have a baby through IVF.
A source told Page Six, “There were also difficult conversations about expanding their family, timing, and what they wanted their future to be. Those conversations became even more complicated as his career continued to explode.”
In 2018, Bunny and Jerry briefly separated after the “Son of a Sinner” singer had a months-long affair.
“The pressure of fame, the constant public scrutiny, and the unresolved issues from early in their marriage, including trust issues that they worked hard to overcome, created a situation where they were having the same conversations over and over again,” the source said.
“The sad thing is Bunny was there for him through thick and thin. She was there before he had fame, before he won all the awards, before his shows sold out.”
“She has overcome some incredibly difficult times, including one that ended many marriages,” the source added.
Representatives for Jelly Roll and Bunny Zoe did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
On Monday, it was revealed that the “Wild Ones” singer, 41, whose real name is Jason Bradley Deford, filed for divorce from Bunny, 46, on May 18 after nearly 10 years of marriage.
Legal documents filed in Williamson County, Tennessee, cite “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
Jelly Roll and Bunny (real name Alisa Andrea Carter) secretly married at a Las Vegas courthouse in August 2016, just a year after they met at the country singer’s concert.
They were married on the same night that Jelly Roll proposed. In 2023, they renewed their vows.
During their relationship, Bunny acted as a stepmother to Jelly Roll’s two children, daughter Bailey Ann (18 years old) and son Noah Buddy (9 years old).
Just recently, a moving truck was spotted outside an apartment complex in Tennessee. At this time, it is unclear whose items were being removed from the couple’s home.
