Princess Charlene of Monaco on Tuesday presented Kurt Russell with the Monte Carlo Television Festival’s Crystal Nymph Award in recognition of his “extraordinary contribution to the entertainment industry and his incredible career spanning over 60 years.”

Prince Albert II joined Mr Russell on stage at the Salle des Princes at the Grimaldi Forum, and Mr Russell attended the ceremony with his partner Goldie Hawn.

Princess Charlene also presented British actor Matthew Bloom with the International Golden Nymph Award for Most Promising Talent. Bloom, who gained international recognition after starring in Prime Video’s “My Fault: London,” starred in Apple TV+’s “The Buccaneers.”

Among the guests at the festival were Kristin Scott Thomas, Estelle Exposito, Lesley Manville, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lauren Cohan, John Hannah, David Boreanaz, Aldis Hodge and Kevin McKidd.

Danish crime drama “The Uniform” won the festival’s Golden Nymph Award for best series. Produced by Mytho Film, the show exposes the deadly costs of loyalty and corruption within modern Denmark’s divided and competitive police academy.

The Best Picture Award and the Special Jury Prize went to “Fadea”, produced by Israeli-Palestinian Cinema Virgin. The film deals with the theme of murder committed in the name of a false sense of family honor.

The award for best picture went to Italian series Gomorrah – The Origins, created by Sky Studios and Cattleya. The drama, which begins in Naples in 1977, follows Pietro Savastano, a tough city boy living in a poor neighborhood who ventures into the criminal underworld to survive.

The Best Actress award went to Yara Jalal for her role in Fadia, and the Best Actor award went to Johannes Hegemann from Germany for his role in Olivia.

The general award went to “Ponies,” produced by Universal Television.

The award in the Feature Reporting and News Competition category, which recognizes social or cultural feature reporting, went to Sweden’s Sveriges Television’s Mission Investigate: The Hunt.

The award for Best Geopolitical or Conflict Feature Report went to France’s Elephant et Mile Productions and France Télévision’s “La Guerre, Donald Trump et al.”

The Special Jury Prize went to the BBC’s Into the Void: Putin’s Foreign Fighters.

The award for Best Original Digital Film went to “Next-Door Families – What Makes a Family?” From Korea’s KBS and Yoo Kyung Hyun.

The Best Documentary Digital Format award went to France’s OK Charlotte’s “La face cachée de l’aéroport CDG la nuit.”
