After their live wedding ceremony during Bad Bunny’s 2026 Super Bowl halftime show went viral online, Eleisa “Ellie” Aparicio and Thomas “Tommy” Walter never thought they “wanted to see the pictures.”
But they took aspects of that once-in-a-lifetime experience and incorporated them into a second, more intimate ceremony two months later at a winery in Temecula, California.
“We had planned a Super Bowl wedding beforehand, so it was great to be able to actually incorporate that element into our own personal wedding,” Aparicio, 30, told Page Six in an exclusive interview with Walter, 32.
“Tommy, his mom, and my mom walked (down the aisle) to ‘Devi Tilal Mas Fotos,’ which was played on piano. Then the bridal party and all the groomsmen walked to ‘Die With a Smile,’ which was also played on piano.”
In particular, Aparicio’s favorite artist, Lady Gaga, appeared during a show at Santa Clara’s Levi’s Stadium and surprised even the couple with a never-before-heard salsa rendition of her and Bruno Mars’ hit ballads.
“So it was just the little things that came together,” Aparicio exclaimed. “And it was a beautiful nod to what we were just going through.”
However, she did not wear Hayley Page’s wedding dress that she wore during the Super Bowl. The actual dress was chosen a year earlier, in February 2025.
Aparicio, a Los Angeles-based registered nurse, and Walter knew deep down that the “busy” Bad Bunny wouldn’t make a surprise appearance at their wedding in April, but many of their guests weren’t so convinced.
“I wish!” Walter blurted out while Aparicio agreed, “That would have been cool.”
“We didn’t expect[him to come]but the funny thing is, a lot of our friends did. They were like, ‘Is he going to come out? Will he sing? Will he perform?'” Walter recalled. “And we had to tell everyone, ‘No, no, just her and me!'”
That’s the wedding they invited the Grammy Award-winning rapper to in October 2025. Although he technically said no, he made it even better by inviting them to his wedding during an electric and emotional halftime performance celebrating his native Puerto Rico.
“Just being there was something I never imagined in my life. It was a crazy experience,” Aparicio marveled.
“Especially in every rehearsal, there were moments where we had to come forward and hold each other’s hands. We looked at each other and were like, ‘What are we doing?'”
Their families watched intently at home, knowing they were “involved” in the show but not knowing how.
“The first thing Tom and I did when we got backstage was we both FaceTimed our moms right away and were like, ‘So? What did you think?'” Aparicio said, adding that her mom, like millions of people watching, wasn’t sure if the wedding was “real.”
But it was! Antonio Reyes, pastor of Project Church South Sacramento, officiated and Bad Bunny (real name Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio) signed the marriage certificate in front of a large crowd as a witness.
It was a special moment for Aparicio and Walter. They said they used the opportunity to present the musician with a Pokemon card, including a shiny Scorbunny from PSA 10, and a letter in Spanish thanking “two ordinary people in the world” for giving such an unforgettable opportunity.
To commemorate this momentous moment, Kay Jewelers gifted Aparicio and Walter with unique necklaces featuring each other’s names, birthstones, and the date of the Super Bowl in Roman numerals.
“They came up with something so beautiful and unique,” exclaimed Aparicio. “That was also a great experience. A lot of great things came out of this.”
In addition to being busy as full-time nurses, she and Walter currently co-host a podcast aptly titled “Two Rings.”
