Britney Spears posted a cryptic message about a “mean girl” after her DUI arrest and stint in rehab.
“If you’re one of those mean girls in the audience pointing and laughing and looking at your phone, look up today,” the pop star captioned a recent Instagram photo of herself apparently as a toddler.
“River has a message for you all!!!!!!” she said, referring to her pen name and Instagram alter ego, Zaira Maria River Red. As with all of Spears’ posts, comments are turned off.
The “Gimme More” singer’s post comes after she opened up about “emotional issues” she was battling in a since-deleted post.
“A lot of emotional issues happen in the kitchen,” she wrote in a long text uploaded. “I don’t know why…I guess it’s normal for us to get together as a family to celebrate, pray, and cook.”
Spears, 44, said she used to do “crafts there” such as making stained glass lamps, which gave her “the most peaceful feeling.”
The mother of two said she was devastated when her housekeeper “accidentally” threw away her beloved work, but wrote that she was “used to people taking things away from (her)”.
In March, Spears was arrested in Ventura County, California, on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Shocking dashcam footage showed the Grammy winner failing a field sobriety test, claiming he had only had one mimosa earlier that day.
Police reports say Spears took several prescription drugs that day, including Adderall, Lamictal and Prozac.
In April, the “Oops! I Did It Again” songstress checked into a rehab facility. After just over two weeks of treatment, Spears left the facility, and a source exclusively told Page Six that she is “doing great.”
Last month, Spears pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of “reckless” and avoided prison time in exchange for probation, fines and a three-month alcohol education program.
The “Toxic” singer, who said he was on a spiritual journey after his plea deal, reportedly sparked a “chaotic” and “somewhat sad” scene while dining with two friends at a restaurant in Los Angeles on May 13.
However, a representative for Spears said the incident was “completely out of proportion.”
“Britney was enjoying a quiet dinner with her assistants and bodyguards. All she was saying was that her dog was barking at her neighbors,” a rep said in a statement to Page Six last month.
“She never used a knife to endanger anyone. She was cutting a hamburger in half.”
