Television actor Stewart MacLean has been missing for a week, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police are investigating the disappearance as a homicide.
On May 18, Squamish RCMP received a missing person report for MacLean, who had been missing since May 15. On Thursday, it was announced that the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team had taken over the case and believed Ms MacLean was the victim of a homicide. MacLean was last seen at her home in Lions Bay, British Columbia, Canada.
“On May 20, IHIT developed the investigation and assumed implementation,” a Thursday press release said. “Squamish RCMP continues to work closely with IHIT and the Integrated Forensic Identification Service (IFIS) to advance the investigation. Squamish RCMP has launched an investigation and through investigative efforts uncovered evidence that leads investigators to believe that Mr. MacLean was the victim of a homicide. According to his IMDb profile, MacLean was often credited as Stu MacLean. Most recently, she played a barfly in a 2026 episode of the Netflix drama Virgin River, which was filmed in British Columbia. He also appeared in episodes of the Canadian series “Murder in a Small Town,” “Happy Face,” the DC shows “Arrow,” “Travellers,” “The Killer Inside: The Ruth Finley Story,” and the Freeform TV series “Beyond.” His acting credits date back to 2015. According to IMDb, he was also a producer and frequently filmed in the Vancouver area, including Bowen Island and Squamish.
