AMC is launching a new aftershow for “Vampire Lestat,” the third season of “Interview with the Vampire.”
The half-hour show, titled “The Vampire Lestat: After Dark,” will be hosted by Lizzie Bassett and feature interviews with the show’s cast and creators. Those scheduled to appear include stars Sam Reid, Jacob Anderson, Asad Zaman, Eric Bogosian and Delaney Hales, as well as executive producer Mark Johnson and executive producer and showrunner Lorin Jones.
The aftershow will begin with a special preview episode on May 24th on AMC+ before the series launches on June 7th. Episodes will then be broadcast weekly on AMC+ and available on podcast platforms the following day. Select episodes will also air on AMC, including a special preview episode on May 31st, the season premiere on June 7th, and the season finale on July 19th.
In the preview episode, Reed, Anderson, Zaman, Hales, Bogosian, Jones, and Johnson tease the new season, including a behind-the-scenes look from the set.
“We’re thrilled to introduce this must-see companion show to Vampire Lestat, a series that has truly captivated our loyal and passionate fan base,” said Ben Davis, executive vice president of scripted programming for AMC Global Media. “‘After Dark’ is designed to enrich the viewing experience by delving deep into the show’s lore, offering behind-the-scenes insights from the cast and producers, and pulling back the curtain on the stories, characters and moments that will define the seasons to come.”
“The Vampire Lestat: After Dark” is produced by School of Humans and AMC Studios. Executive producers include Jones, Johnson, Reed, Anderson and Hales, as well as LC Crowley, Brandon Barr, Ben Franzen, Adam O’Byrne and series showrunner Joe Randazzo.
AMC was an early pioneer of the after-show format, launching the incredibly popular and successful “Talking Dead,” hosted by Chris Hardwick and taking fans behind the scenes of the “Walking Dead” series. The show aired for 11 seasons from 2011 to 2022.
