Jeffrey Epstein made his “Saturday Night Live” debut during the May 16 cold open.
Host Will Ferrell played Trump’s friend, a violent sex offender, in a skit that began with the president (James Austin Johnson) having a conversation with J.D. Vance (Jeremy Culhane).
“I did what every doctor recommends for an 80-year-old: a whirlwind two-day trip to China,” Trump said. He quickly sent the vice president away (“I need some time to relax without you around”) and fell asleep.
Soon, Will Ferrell, played by Jeffrey Epstein, enters Trump’s dreams and confirms, “I committed suicide… wink!”
Mr. Epstein also made some dark jokes during the interview, such as mentioning that Mr. Trump’s approval ratings are declining among people in their 30s.
“Horrible…call me at 5 p.m.,” Epstein joked.
Epstein also said he was able to show President Trump the future, including seeing Kristi Noem (Ashley Padilla) shilling merchandise on HSN within six months, and Army Secretary Pete Hegseth (Colin Jost) and FBI Director Kash Patel (Aziz Ansari) filling giant beer bottles while recording an episode of Patel’s podcast, “KashCast.”
When he started moving away from Trump? “Next time I’ll leave you hanging.”
The sketch ended with Mr. Trump and Mr. Epstein singing a gorgeous duet of Grover Washington Jr.’s “Just the Two of Us,” with Mr. Epstein beginning the performance by promising Mr. Trump, “People will always associate you with me!”
This week’s episode, hosted by Ferrell with musical guest Paul McCartney, marks the finale of the show’s 51st season.
