Last year, Jenny Molen and Jason Biggs’ marriage was still heating up.
The writer gushed about the American Pie star on his birthday, just 12 months before they split after 18 years of marriage.
“This is a photo of us from our 30th surprise,” Mollen wrote on Instagram in May 2025. “We were married and I still knew very little about you, like the fact that you hate surprises. Luckily, we were able to get over that hurdle. Happy 47th. I swear I didn’t plan anything.”
The actress last posted a video of Biggs in March, joining a social media trend showcasing what life was like in the ’90s.
Moren has compiled photos of her now estranged husband from red carpets and photo shoots for the American Pie series.
“I was trying to get on board with this #90 trend and I think I accidentally turned @biggsjason into a ‘memorandum,'” she captioned the post.
Just last week, Moren shared a video on Instagram of one of her employees wearing a wedding dress.
The mother-of-two explained that she had pulled the dress out of storage, and wrote below the clip: “If you work for me, one day I’ll ask you to wear my wedding dress. (Entries accepted in the comments).”
On Thursday, Page Six confirmed that Moren and Biggs had broken up, with a spokesperson for the two saying that they are on good terms and are focused on raising their sons Laszlo, 8, and Sid, 12.
For the past nine months, there have been rumors of a split brew.
Despite their breakup, a source tells People that Moren and Biggs celebrated their 48th birthday together this Tuesday.
“They have a very close relationship,” the source elaborated. “I have no doubt that they will continue to have a good relationship.”
Moren and Biggs, who met on the set of the 2007 film My Best Friend’s Girl, got engaged in January 2008.
The previous flameout escaped in April of the same year.
Moren and Biggs then renewed their vows in July 2008 in Napa, California.
Over the years, the two have been open about making their marriage work through good times and bad.
“At the end of the day, we get along because we have therapists,” Moren told People magazine in 2016. “Sometimes I need my agent to tell me what’s on his mind. When it comes out of my mouth, it sometimes sounds like I’m Jason’s mother.”
Biggs added, “It’s better not to hire a therapist when you’re married. You have to do it as a pre-emptive strike.”
During their nearly 20 years of marriage, the two have also appeared together in movies.
Moren and Biggs appeared on 2016’s “Amateur Night” before co-hosting the 2024 culinary revival “Dinner and a Movie.”
In 2018, the “Crazy, Stupid, Love” actress said that the success of their partnership was due to good communication.
“We’ve been in couples therapy since we met, and I think it’s hard just to hope that it works,” Moren told Bild Series at the time. “You have to really want it. If you don’t care, it’s very easy to get divorced. It’s very easy. So you have to really want it.”
During their time together, the former lovers overcame Biggs’ struggles with addiction.
The Operation Taco Gary’s star, who has been sober since 2017, appeared on The View in January and said, “When Jenny got pregnant, it was kind of a wake-up call for me.”
