Molly Rogers can create iconic styles in New York in a minute.
From “Sex and the City” to “The Devil Wears Prada,” the famed costume designer has created a number of Big Apple-based productions over the years. And now, she’s bringing that unparalleled eye to the On 34th x Molly Rogers collection, a collaboration with Macy’s in-house brand that’s priced entirely under $150.
“This collection is inspired by all of my biggest hits throughout my career,” Rogers told Page Six Style, noting that he specifically drew on “a lot of experience working on fashion projects in New York.”
Fittingly, the drop follows closely on the heels of the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2, and features a feast of looks hand-picked by Rogers, including her personal “favourite”, the tasseled Dries Van Noten jacket worn by Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep).

Meanwhile, what’s the hardest costume to source? “The Hamptons is looking for Andy,” she told us, referring to the character’s colorful patchwork Gabriella Hearst maxi dress.
“We had to sell her right away that she had access to the ‘closet.’”
But while not everyone can steal from Runway magazine’s fashion stockpile, buying Rogers’ Macy’s collection might be the next best thing. From priest-worthy pantsuits to Carrie Bradshaw-inspired accessories, check out the highlights.

Ms. Rogers said these five-pocket pants are for “working reporters who need them,” so they bring Andy Sachs to mind.
It’s also perfect for working as a costume designer, as Rogers added, “I can’t live without my pockets.”

Meanwhile, according to Rogers, these bright red heels would be “very appropriate” for Miranda Priestly. That’s it!

The line’s early bestsellers include this cute duffel featuring New York-inspired illustrations.
“This collection is an amalgamation of many beloved ideas from many projects,” said Rogers.

“I love the blue tiered skirt,” the fashion pro says of the colorful design. “It has a refreshing spring/summer feel.”

Pinstripe on sweatshirts? That’s groundbreaking. Rogers thought it was a “fun idea” to incorporate office-ready patterns into cozy clothes, and the cropped balloon pants were born.

Complete your look with this matching off-shoulder top, perfect for adding runway magazine glamor to your wardrobe.

Accessories go to the birds. Rogers made headlines in 2022 when she styled Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) in “And Just Like That” with a JW Anderson pigeon purse. Now, Rogers says the city’s native bird is her “mascot” for the collection.
