Kevin Hart offered Katt Williams an “olive branch of peace” on Sunday after “years of…conflict.”
Williams made a shocking appearance on stage during “The Roast of Kevin Hart,” which aired on Netflix over the weekend.
“It’s really surprising to come out here,” Hart, 46, said. “But Kat, I can sit and look at you and I can laugh because I’m a fan first, okay? I’m a fan first.”
He pointed out that they “have the opportunity to forget about themselves in real time on live television.”
The “Ride Along” star said, “I give you an olive branch of peace. I want to be brothers, I want to be friends. Kat, I want to move on. Can we move on?”
Afterward, Williams, 54, shook Hart’s hand and hugged him.
Later in the roast, Hart joked, “Tonight, everyone is saying I can’t act. … All I want you to do is look back at that moment when you shook Kat’s hand, looked him in the eye, and said, ‘I just want to be friends.'” It was the best performance of his career so far.
“I didn’t mean a word of what I said,” he joked. “Fuck, Katt Williams! Fuck, Katt Williams!”
Ahead of the public settlement, Ms Williams described herself as one of Mr Hart’s “enemies” and said she was “surprised” to have been invited to participate.
Hart also condemned Hart’s attendance at the 56-year-old music mogul’s infamous gala before being sentenced to four years in federal prison on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
“Just because Kevin went to Diddy’s party doesn’t mean he did anything wrong,” Williams said. “The fact that he goes silent when you bring it up means he did something wrong.”
Hart and Williams have been feuding since at least 2014, with the latter escalating the conflict two years later by calling Hart a “Hollywood puppet” on his comedy show.
Williams elaborated on his beliefs, saying in a 2024 episode of the Club Shay Shay podcast that Hart is an “industrial plant.”
“Nobody in Hollywood remembers going to a Kevin Hart show and having a packed line or getting a standing ovation at a comedy club,” Williams claimed. “He already had a contract when he got here.”
