Tan France became completely unrecognizable after changing his signature hair color.
The Queer Eye star, 43, known for his silver locks, sported shockingly deep brown tones, a stark contrast to his norm.
“Don’t be surprised, I know my hair is dark,” the TV personality explained her bold transformation to fans in an Instagram selfie video.
“It’s so weird to see myself with black hair,” he admitted, adding, “It’s weird to see myself with black hair.”
France went on to say, “Let me be clear: this is not a midlife crisis.”
The Netflix star said the switch was “for the role,” stressing, “I hate black hair. I love silver hair. Just so you know, I love gray hair. I’m not ashamed of my gray hair at all. I’m really proud of it.”
“This is just for work. Hopefully within a month or two it will return to its natural color,” he promised.
The comments section exploded with shock and support, with one fan writing: “You look beautiful as always.”
Another joked, “I didn’t want to say it, but I thought it! And my soul screamed no!”
This isn’t the first time he’s mentioned his hair. Last year, he changed tack after reading fan comments.
She wore her hair long in the early seasons of Queer Eye, but cut it short after seeing “so many” people “hating” her hair.
