This was so unappealing.
NBC sports commentator Mike Tirico mispronounced Tina Fey’s name on live television during Tuesday night’s New York Knicks game.
During Game 5 of the NBA Playoffs at Madison Square Garden, the broadcaster and his co-commentator Reggie Miller were listing the star-studded lineup sitting courtside.
Tirico mistakenly referred to Faye as “Tina Fox,” as seen in a social media clip posted to X.
Fans immediately jumped into the comments section to criticize the reporter’s blunder.
“Did Mike say ‘Tina Fox’?!?” one person replied, while another countered: “Literally sounds like a scene from 30 Rock.”
On Wednesday, Miller posted a photo of Tirico and Fey from the night before to his Instagram Story, writing, “Thank you for joining us Tina Fey,” to clear the air.
Meanwhile, sitting next to the “Mean Girls” star were Timothee Chalamet and his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, as well as Ben Stiller and his wife Christine Taylor.
It was also a mini “30 Rock” reunion, with Fey’s former co-star Tracy Morgan sitting to her right.
Friends appeared on the jumbotron, waving at the cameras and blowing kisses, and Morgan uttered, “Go Knicks!”
Fey created, wrote, and starred as Liz Lemon in the popular sitcom.

The series ran for seven seasons from 2006 to 2013, and Lemon appeared as the head writer for a live sketch comedy show in New York.
The show was loosely based on Fey’s behind-the-scenes shenanigans on Saturday Night Live, and also starred Jane Krakowski, Alec Baldwin and Jack McBrayer.
But this Knicks game looked much different for Tracy compared to his previous game in March.
The comedian suffered an emergency at the New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat game on March 17th.
The actor vomited and was taken off court in a wheelchair.
The next day, he updated his fans on his current situation.
“Thank you for your concern! I’m fine now, doctors say it’s food poisoning,” Morgan wrote from her hospital bed at the time.
“Thank you to the MSG family for caring so much about me. I have to give a big shout out to the crew who had to clean up. Thank you!”
Morgan added, “More importantly, the Knicks are 1-0 when I throw up on the court, so maybe they need to break out again in the playoffs 😅 #goknicks.”
