Disney legend Dick Van Dyke, 100, was spotted hanging out with his wife Arlene Silver at an event in Malibu, meeting and dancing with Herb Alpert.
In a video shared to Instagram by the actor’s personal photographer Laura Johansen, the centenarian can be seen tapping his heels on a chair and moving to guitar music while attending a groundbreaking ceremony for an urgent care center in Malibu.
He wore a black printed shirt and khakis when out and about, accessorizing with a ball cap and casual loafers. The Mary Poppins star happily chatted and laughed with 91-year-old Alpert while using a cane.
Van Dyke’s wife, Arlene Silver, smiled as the entertainment icons shook hands on her lap.
“I was minding my own business, jamming along to the music, when suddenly I noticed Herb Alpert introducing himself…’You gotta keep moving!'” Johansen captioned a portion of the clip on Monday.
In the comments thread, fans marveled at the celebrity sightings, with one person writing: “Imagine sitting behind them?!”
Another wrote: “So happy about this,” while a third chimed in: “He’s so adorable, look at him dancing on the chair!! ❤️.”
Some people said, “An icon will remain an icon.”
The “Dick Van Dyke Show” star doesn’t seem to be slowing down, even though he celebrated his milestone 100th birthday on December 13th.
“I’m not really scared of death,” the actor said in an interview on “Good Morning America” in December, “but I want to live more!”
The “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” star also touched on the downsides of aging in an essay published in the Sunday Times in November.
“It’s frustrating to feel like the world has declined, both physically and socially,” he wrote at the time, adding that his health limitations meant he could no longer travel.
“Like all my old characters, I am now an outsider, limping and unsteady,” he wrote elsewhere in the essay. “I have problems with my feet, so I lie on my back as often as I can politely.”
He revealed that his marriage to Arlene, 54, whom he married in 2012, has kept him young.
“I met Arlene in 2006, and she instantly became my soulmate and the love of my life,” he said of the romance.
“Without a doubt, our ongoing romance is the most important reason I don’t fall into a sullen mood.”
He also said that being “half (his) age,” she made him feel “between two-thirds and three-quarters (of his) age.”
