Netflix co-CEOs Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters expect to be paid just over $53 million in 2025, which would actually mean their compensation packages have decreased from 2024.
The streamer announced the co-CEO and president’s compensation in an SEC filing on Thursday, which was released just as Netflix executives were answering analyst questions about first-quarter 2026 earnings in a livestream interview.
In total, Sarandos will receive $53.9 million in compensation in 2025 and Peters will receive $53.2 million. In 2024, Sarandos would be paid $62 million and Peters $60 million.
Sarandos and Peters both received a base salary of $3 million and stock awards of $41.4 million in 2025, according to the filing. Neither co-CEO had any bonuses or option awards for the year, but each received cash-based bonuses of more than $7 million. Sarandos’ “all other compensation” (including personal use of a Netflix aircraft) was $2.5 million, while Peters’s was $1.7 million.
Netflix also revealed the 2025 salary of co-founder and former board chairman Reed Hastings, who will receive a base salary of $33,846 and a total of $1.24 million from the company.
Chief Financial Officer Spencer Newman’s annual compensation was $20.8 million, compared to a base salary of $2 million. Chief Legal Officer David Hyman received $15.4 million and also received a salary of $2 million. Chief International Affairs Officer Clete Willems’ salary package was $14.3 million, including a base salary of $761,539. Willems, who joined Netflix last April, was the only member of the executive team to receive a bonus that year, a $2.8 million sign-on bonus.
