Mary Mary singer Tresheena “Tina” Campbell and her husband Glendon “Teddy” Campbell are divorcing after 25 years of marriage.
Teddy, 51, filed a petition to dissolve the union in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.
The gospel drummer and singer cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their breakup.
The former couple, who married in August 2000, have been living apart since June 2024, the document revealed.
In his filing, Teddy requested “child visitation time” for his and Tina’s two minor children, sons Santana Campbell, 13, and Glendon Theodore Campbell II, 16.
Teddy and Tina, 51, have two other children, daughters Lia Simone, 24, and Meera Jane, 18, and Teddy is also father to daughter Sierra from a previous relationship.
Regarding spousal support, Teddy wrote in the divorce papers that it was “for future decisions.”
Mr Teddy also pointed out that the two would not have to divide “community and quasi-community property”.
Page Six has reached out to Tina and Teddy’s representatives for comment.
Tina rose to fame in the late ’90s as a member of the gospel duo Mary Mary with her sister Erica Campbell.
The group formed in 1998 and found success with their early singles “Shackles (Praise You)” and “Walking.”
They have won various awards, including four Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, and three BET Awards.
A gospel musician, Teddy was the drummer on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and is currently the lead singer of the Soul Seekers.
The former couple was previously involved in a cheating scandal on Tina and Erica’s WeTV reality show “Mary Mary,” which aired from 2012 to 2017.
Teddy admitted that Tina had been cheating on him with multiple women, but the two eventually reconciled.
In a clip from the 2014 series, Tina vents to her sister about how Teddy “took[her]life.”
“I’ve never been with another man. I’ve never had the wrong conversation. I’ve never had an affair in my head, I’ve never done anything. I was 190 percent devoted to this man and this is what you did?” she lamented.
Tina also addressed the scandal in a 2020 interview with Essence magazine, admitting, “I realized who I really am when my marriage fell apart.”
“My husband was exposed in front of everyone, and so was I,” she said.
“There was a lot of prayer and counseling,” the performer added. “But now I’m stronger and so is our marriage.”
