Aisha Howard claims NBA star Anthony Edwards hid assets to avoid child support ruling in California

Aisha Howard claims NBA star Anthony Edwards “deliberately” hid assets to avoid California child support obligations for his daughter Aubrey.

Howard filed for a child support order Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming he has “discovered evidence” that the Minnesota Timberwolves player has a “substantial and continuing business and financial presence in California,” according to documents obtained by Page Six.

Edwards, a mother of two, said in the filing that she has registered a business LLC and business trademark in California, conducts correspondence and operations in the state under business infrastructure principles, has a bank account in Beverly Hills and has current and previous sports agency agreements with California-based sports representatives.

“This newly discovered evidence indicates that (Edwards) maintained a business, financial, contractual, and economic presence in California for approximately six years,” the document reads.

Howard said in his motion that the evidence satisfies “the principles of minimal contact and purpose for out-of-state parents and parties to support obligations in child support proceedings.”

Howard argued in his filing that the shooting guard, 24, “intentionally concealed and misrepresented his ties to California under oath” when he gave sworn testimony about why the state court “lacked personal jurisdiction over him” because he had no personal or business ties to the state.

The Instagram model is now asking a California court to renew her original child support order in the Golden State, alleging that Edwards “intentionally” concealed assets and affected a previous judgment regarding personal jurisdiction.

Page Six reached out to attorneys for Howard and Edwards for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.

In October 2024, Page Six exclusively reported that Edwards had filed a paternity and child support complaint in Georgia the month before.

That same month, Howard, who shares son Jason with rapper Lil Baby, later revealed that he had quietly welcomed a baby girl named Aubrey.

In February 2025, we reported that Howard asked for the paternity and child support case to be heard in California after the “Starting 5” star filed a lawsuit in Georgia.

Howard claimed in court documents that she and Edwards “spent time together in various cities during the off-season and while playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves,” but that she discovered in January 2024 that she was “pregnant with a child.”

The documents also allege that when Edwards revealed the news of her pregnancy to him, Edwards was not happy about it, cut off any further contact with her and urged her to “get an abortion.”

The Olympic gold medalist has daughter Aislinn, who was born in March 2024, with girlfriend Shannon Jackson.

Edwards is said to be the father of two other children: daughter Alice, 2, with Daja Carlyle, and son Amir, 2, with Alexandria Desroches.

He has yet to publicly admit whether his children are his outside of his romance with Jackson.
