Michael Jackson’s son Prince and Bigi Jackson made a rare public appearance as they appeared on the red carpet at the premiere of the film Michael Jackson in Berlin, along with several other family members.
On Friday, the brothers posed for photos wearing suits reminiscent of their famous father’s fashion style.
Prince, 29, looked dapper in a classic black suit, red button-down shirt and black tie ensemble. It resembled the same iconic look that Michael wore when he performed “Dangerous” in 2002 to commemorate American Bandstand’s 50th anniversary.
Bigi, 24, paid homage to the King of Pop in a black suit jacket with gold stripes along the arms and matching black pants. On one arm, he wore an armband with a photo of his father in his legendary pose.
In addition to the siblings, many of Michael’s siblings appeared on the red carpet, including Jackie Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, and Marlon Jackson. Jermaine’s sons Jaafar and Jermajesty also attended, along with Randy Jackson Jr.
However, several important family members were noticeably absent from the celebration, including Michael’s sisters Janet and LaToya Jackson and daughter Paris Jackson.
Fans of the late pop star were shocked to learn that her equally famous sister Janet will not appear as a character in director Antoine Fuqua’s biopic, according to Variety. However, his other sister LaToya Jackson will be played by British actress Jessica Sula.
Representatives for Janet and Paris did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
It’s no secret that Janet, 59, has issues with the film, which follows her brother Michael’s meteoric rise from child star to major musician.
Sources exclusively told Page Six in March that Janet had a tense exchange with her brother Jermaine (whose son Jaafar Jackson plays Michael in the film) at a screening of the film in front of their family.
Witnesses claimed that Janet “had negative emotions in almost every scene” and did not hold back from criticism in the theater.
“The acting, the make-up, the way the actors talked, the way they walked. Janet decided from across the room that this movie wasn’t going to get her approval.”
Paris, 28, who is embroiled in a difficult legal battle over her late father’s estate, was spotted wandering around West Hollywood spending time with friends instead of attending a large celebration on Friday.
The photo showed the “Swarm” star casually walking down a Hollywood street with a drink in hand, before stopping to hug a friend wearing a red sweatshirt.
The pair were then joined by a third friend and they chatted for a bit outside.
Paris also went on to criticize a new film about her father’s life.
In September 2025, the musician responded to comments from actor Colman Domingo (who plays Jackson family patriarch Joe Jackson in the film), saying that she and her brother Prince are “very supportive of our film.”
According to the Guardian, Paris responded on Instagram: “Please don’t say I ‘helped’ on the set of a movie I had no involvement in (lol). That’s so weird.”
“I read one of the first drafts of the script and took notes on what was disingenuous or didn’t sit well with me. And when they didn’t address it, I moved on with my life.”
“Not my monkey, not my circus. God bless and God speed,” she concluded.
Paris has yet to directly address her absence from Friday night’s premiere. However, she appeared to throw shade at her family with a sharp message she shared via her Instagram Stories when she reposted Reel on Thursday.
Part of the video was captioned: “‘You’re so funny.'” “Thank you, my family had a good discussion about what to do with me.”
