A new man is surprising her.
Jessica Simpson is reportedly dating Nashville-based roadie musician Thomas Eisenhood, a year after splitting from her estranged husband Eric Johnson.
Sources tell TMZ that the two have only been romantically involved for the past three months, whenever Simpson visits his home in Nashville.
The two reportedly hit it off after being introduced by a mutual friend, but things are progressing slowly.
Eisenhood has not seen Simpson and Johnson’s three children, Maxwell, 13, Ace, 12, and Birdie, 6.
The Dukes of Hazzard actress announced her split from Johnson after 10 years of marriage in January 2025, after months of breakup speculation.
Sources told Page Six at the time that the breakup was due to “trust issues” between the former couple that “created a rift between them.”

He lives in Nashville, Tennessee
Eisenhood lives in Music City.
Eisenhood had been in Nashville since 2018, according to his Instagram posts.
Meanwhile, Simpson first moved to the city in 2023 to focus on music.
“As mothers, we are people pleasers. We want to make sure everyone is happy and no one is crying,” she told The Cut in 2025. “We’re the last ones here in L.A. We needed to get back to where we started. It’s not like we’re not thinking about the kids.”
he was in a band
Eisenhood was previously a member of the Stoop Kids band.
According to the band’s biography, they were “born out of frontman Griffin Dean’s affinity for layering old doo-wop records with hip-hop beats.”
Stoop Kids has become “a genre-bending five-piece band with elements of trap, funk, metal, surf, and RnB.”
However, the group has since disbanded, according to their Instagram profiles.
he is a saxophone player
The musician shared footage of himself playing the saxophone on social media in September, showing off his skills.
“Big shout out to @thebandloula for not only letting me stand up and play saxophone at the last show of the tour, but for encouraging me to do so despite my own insecurities,” Eisenhood exclaimed in the caption.
He added, “I’ve worked with them from the soundboard before, but having them join me on stage to close out the last show was so special. Thank you everyone for everything!”
Simpson liked the post and commented with a smug emoji.
Eisenhood has been performing with The Band Lula since 2025.
he is an avid traveler
Over the past few years, Eisenhood has posted from a variety of locations, including Arizona, New York City, Denver, and Aruba.
In 2024, the artist posted a series of photos on Instagram from his trip with the American alt-country band Old 97’s, writing, “In (approximate) chronological order of our West Coast tour with @old97s – Much more snow than expected…but despite nagging injuries, illnesses, lost/stolen bags, etc., we had a blast.”
Just last August, Eisenhood gave his followers an update on his life after a period of inactivity.
“I wish I could say more since I haven’t posted in over 6 months, but be careful because I try to put too much into Instagram captions. It was so much fun, @thebandloula is the best.”
he has a brother
Eisenhood has posted shots of his family on social media for years.
In 2021, he shared a snap of himself and his younger brother posing with their father as children to commemorate Father’s Day.
A few years ago, in 2019, the saxophonist praised his graduating brother.
“This stallion just graduated from high school this weekend and we had so much fun rooting for him in Houston!” Eisenhood wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of himself, his brother and his mother.
Simpson and Eisenhood first tied the knot in April 2026
Simpson and Eisenhood reportedly started meeting up earlier this year whenever the pop star was in town.
Even though the couple hasn’t been spotted together yet, Simpson hasn’t hesitated to like or comment on his new beau’s social media posts.
The mother of three is “heartbroken” by Eisenhood’s posts dating back to July 2024.
