The messy divorce battle between ousted CBS anchor Josh Elliott and “Eyewitness News” anchor Liz Cho included a huge fight over grapes, according to his court filing obtained by Page Six on Thursday.
The latter once yelled at his ex-girlfriend for packing snacks in her daughter Sarina’s school lunch, according to the filing.
Notably, each of the journalists has daughters from previous relationships.
Cho allegedly “lashed out” at Elliott while “washing grapes for her daughter’s lunch, yelling that the grapes belonged to her and that she was not allowed to put them in her child’s lunch.”
Documents filed by Elliott’s attorney in January said the altercation took place “within earshot of the child.”
Elliott, 54, also accused his estranged spouse of “locking the door and turning off (his) teenage daughter’s lights on an evening when it was 14 degrees outside.”
It also alleged that Cho “monitored and wiretapped private telephone calls,” “sniffed on personal belongings and closets,” and was “engulfed in a consistent pattern of false accusations and manufactured crises.”
Elliott also claimed that the 55-year-old man left his Weston, Conn., residence “for an extended period of time without communicating, even though he had two dogs that required daily care.”
Representatives for Mr. Elliott and Mr. Cho have not yet responded to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Last month, we broke the news that Elliott had filed to end his and Cho’s 10-year marriage in June 2025.
The breakup turned into a controversy five months later, when Cho requested copies of Elliott’s communications with “any person with whom he had or had a romantic and/or sexual relationship from July 11, 2015 to the present,” as well as “communications related to his job search.” Elliott’s latest argument stems from his opposition to that motion.
She also requested “copies of all monthly checking account statements” and “all documentation reflecting (his) travel, personal and business,” all of which Elliott objected to.
A source told Page Six that “exhaustive documentation” is the “standard for divorce,” adding that there is no evidence Elliott had an affair with anyone outside of marriage.
In January of the following year, Ms. Cho filed a contempt complaint against Ms. Elliott, while both Ms. Cho continued to live in her home.
She accused her ex-boyfriend, who she heard was back on the dating scene, of moving her dog and “a significant amount of furniture and furnishings” from her home during the holidays.
Cho also claimed that Elliott was in possession of “a valuable watch and earrings in a jewelry bag.”
In subsequent filings, he denied making the “false and inflammatory” statements and claimed he took a “limited” number of items while “removing himself and his children from a hostile environment.”
The case is still ongoing, with the latest court hearing scheduled for March 20th.
The two got married in July 2015.
Cho was previously married to Evan Gottlieb, and their daughter Louisa was born in 2007, five years before their divorce.
As for Elliot, he shares Sarina with ex-wife Priya Narang.
