Taylor Frankie Paul has been accused of domestic violence again by ex-girlfriend Dakota Mortensen.
This is the third domestic violence investigation by police involving Paul and Mortensen. The latest charges focus on an incident that took place in 2024, and the West Jordan Police Department in Utah is reviewing multiple videos related to the incident, according to NBC News. Specific details regarding the alleged incident and when it occurred have not yet been released.
The first investigation took place in 2023 and was thoroughly documented in season 1 of Hulu’s reality series “The Secret Life of Mormon Wives.” The incident was already known to the public, but new footage recently released by TMZ shows Paul throwing a metal bar stool at Mortensen’s child while he was nearby. (Paul and Mortensen have a son, but the child seen in the video was from Paul’s previous marriage.) After that incident, Paul pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. She is on probation until August of this year. In response to the TMZ video, Disney has rescheduled the premiere of season 22 of The Bachelorette, which stars Paul and has already been filmed.
“Taylor is extremely grateful for ABC’s support as her priority is the safety and security of her family,” a spokesperson for Paul said in a statement. “After enduring years of extensive emotional and physical abuse and threats of retribution in silence, Taylor has finally found the strength to confront her accusers and is taking steps to ensure she and her children are protected from further harm,” the spokesperson’s statement said. “Too many women are suffering in silence, surviving with ex-partners who are aggressive, jealous, and refuse to move forward with their lives. Taylor remains silent for fear of further abuse, retribution, and public shaming. She is currently exploring all options, seeking support, and preparing to embrace and share her story.”
The second investigation, overseen by the Draper City, Utah, Police Department, is based on charges Paul and Mortensen made against each other. Production on Season 5 of “Mormon Wife Secrets” has been paused as a result of an investigation revealed days before the leaked video and subsequent “Bachelorette” scandal.
