Weeks after her Super Bowl appearance with Lewis Hamilton sparked dating rumors, Kim Kardashian spent the night at Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party. The Skims founder posed on the red carpet fresh off the Demna runway at Milan Fashion Week in a form-fitting gold Gucci dress, and paired the look with ice blue colored contacts for a major beauty makeover.
Last year, Kardashian opted for a white Balenciaga soiree dress that really changed the tone of her look.
Kardashian recently spoke to Complex about being a “fashion girl” and whether she ever worried that the pivot would make her less relatable. “I never thought about that, but no,” she said. “Even if you’re wearing something inaccessible, I think choosing simple colors and silhouettes can be relatable and accessible. I’ve always embraced simple things that are easy to copy. When I don a fancy red carpet look, I love to share secrets I’ve learned along the way that might be useful to everyday women.”
Speaking about how working with stylist Soki Mack changed her sense of style during the All’s Fair press tour, she said: “Soki is really trying to push me beyond vintage and trying to get me to work with a lot of new, up-and-coming designers, which is a lot of fun. But she’s like, ‘I know your comfort zone, and we have to build trust.'” When we were doing the All’s Fair press tour, I thought, “Wait, I don’t want to be like Alura Grant.” So we thought, “Oh, maybe we should collaborate?” We both wanted to try something different. She modernized it with some Connor Ives dresses. I also incorporated a Dilara Findikoglu dress that she introduced me to. For the London press tour, she decided to wear all Dilara looks since she’s a new London designer, but her style still feels fun and even has a vintage vibe to some of the pieces. It was a good mix. Now I have a new daily stylist (David Friend). I went to Aspen recently and he styled everything for me. ”
In general, Kardashian said, “I work with a few different stylists. I still collaborate with Dani[Levi]from time to time and create looks for different projects. I’m realizing the benefits of having a team because you can’t spread everyone out too much with TV shows and all these looks. I love working with all of them. Soki and I had a really fun time on that press tour.”
