Dara Levitan is a player made for the Hamptons.
In a new roundtable with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” the “Summer House” newcomer opened up about her entrance into the house and her co-stars.
From the beginning of her romance with KJ Dillard to a first-hand look at the family’s messy love triangle, here are the biggest takeaways from our candid interview with the makeup artist.
Choose KJ over Ben
Levitan, who previously dated castmate West Wilson, immediately attracted the attention of both Ben Waddell and Dillard upon entering the house, but ultimately found herself attracted to the latter.
“For me, there was something different about[Dillard]. He was a little more soft-spoken and had a really kind, warm energy going forward,” she told hosts Evan Real and Danny Murphy.
Levitan said that the similarities between the two allowed her to reveal her sensitive “lover’s girl” side.
She also appreciated that Dillard was “a man written by a woman”, especially when he listened to her concerns about boys gossiping in cars.
“He doesn’t get defensive or let his ego come out when he receives feedback. He really cares about how people feel,” she noted. As for their current situation, Levitan teased, “He’s great,” and even though summer is coming to an end, things are definitely still going on.
dissecting a love triangle
Despite being the new girl, Levitan had a front row seat to the awkward love triangle between Wilson, Ciara Miller, and Jesse Solomon. She believes Wilson and Miller have a “special” connection, but theorizes that Wilson may not be ready to be relied on by someone else.
“I think that’s the middle ground he continues to fight,” she said of Wilson’s struggle to step up in Miller’s place.
As for Solomon’s infamous desire to “banter” with Miller, Levitan believes it stems from “fear of rejection” and male ego.
Her advice for Jesse going forward is simple. “If you’re talking about wanting to be more than friends, be honest about your feelings.”
Lindsay Hubbard Fan Club Started
This Bravo newbie was so taken with veteran Lindsay Hubbard that she proudly declared herself “the number one leader of the Lindsay Hubbard Fan Club.”
She found comfort in Hubbard’s unfiltered nature and found that she was always candid about her feelings.
Levitan praised her, saying, “I love that you know exactly where you stand with her. She asks questions openly. She makes comments without making excuses. What better way to do it than this?”
Page Six For the latest on reality TV…
In fact, the former publicist became one of Levitan’s favorite people to talk to during emotional moments in the house.
She appreciated Hubbard’s ability to unashamedly offer a different perspective and see things as they really are.
Join the cast…and let go of control
The influencer revealed that her journey to the ‘summer house’ was very unconventional, dating back to meeting her ex Wilson on a dating app many years ago.
Despite their breakup, the two remained good friends, and Wilson eventually recommended Levitan to a producer, which led to her appearing in Summer House.
“I met a guy on Hinge, and you know that somehow evolved into this opportunity,” she explained, joking that she doesn’t know where the “situation” in New York will lead.
Levitan, a self-proclaimed Virgo who likes to “control the narrative,” said she would need to have a serious talk with a therapist before joining the reality show.
Eventually, she realized that putting herself out there was exactly what she needed.
“Summer House” airs Tuesdays at 8pm ET on Bravo, with new episodes streaming the following day on Peacock.
