Bethenny Frankel slashed her face while trying out a new beauty tool she bought from social media.
The former “Real Housewives of New York City” star filmed the aftermath of the horrific incident and shared it late Thursday night as a warning to her followers on social media.
she said shakily as she held a bloody tissue to her face to stop the bleeding from the wound along her jaw. “Oh my god, oh my god!”
Ms. Frankel, 55, explained that she bought a beauty device that “someone here was promoting.”
“These balls are supposed to contour my face. I grind my teeth and my jaw sticks out and hurts, so it’ll give some relief. And I saw some redness there, so I thought that was my skin,” she continued, wiping the blood running from her face.
She also made a point of showing off products featuring chipped glass tubes. It is unclear whether the glass was already chipped or whether it was chipped during use.
“They were glass and I was slicing…” she added, asking what could be done to stop the bleeding.
The Skinnygirl founder went on to warn her followers, “Don’t believe everyone who promotes something.”
“This is so scary. I almost fell on my neck. I could have cut my carotid artery. I’m panicking!”
Frankel ended her video by telling her followers that she had found first aid supplies that would stop the bleeding and help the skin heal faster.
“This happened in the middle of the video. I’m fine. Just shaking. No one said the lord’s job was easy,” she captioned the shocking video.
Frankel recently battled a bacterial infection that left her with a large rash on her face. At the time, she claimed she was infected by using a towel at a resort in St. Barts.
The former Bravolebrity, who refused to take part in the “RHONY” spinoff, which is filming in Palm Beach, was recently diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease.
In January, she explained that her symptoms could be the result of a “traumatic experience many years ago when I almost died from an allergy attack,” or that they could be an autoimmune disease.
But last month she said her condition had taken a “step in the wrong direction” and was actually stage 3A.
