Cole Goldberg, ex-boyfriend of “90 Day Fiancé” star Caroline Schwitsky, has been found not guilty of attempted murder.

Goldberg appeared in court in West Palm Beach, Florida, on charges of attempted first-degree murder and domestic assault, and Circuit Court Judge John Parnofierro handed down the sentence Thursday, Court TV reported.

“Based on the record, we find no evidence to support these illnesses beyond a reasonable doubt. Therefore, the verdict must be not guilty,” Parnofiello said in his ruling.

After the verdict was read, Goldberg told TMZ, “I’m so glad the truth is finally out. I’ve been working on this since 2022, so it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I don’t hold any grudge against Caroline. I can’t believe she thought I was capable of something like that.”

He said he plans to return to law school in South Florida.

Goldberg’s attorneys, Heidi Perle and Mark Scheiner, also told the outlet, “We are all relieved and grateful that this ordeal of four years is over. We had full confidence in Judge Parnofiello’s ability to be fair to both sides of the aisle and uphold the law. Despite being a young judge, his reputation for fairness, intelligence, and following the law is undisputed.”

Meanwhile, Schwitsky told the outlet that she was still processing the verdict, but promised to talk about the news eventually.

Page Six reached out to Goldberg’s team. Representatives for Mr. Schwitzky were not immediately available.

Mr. Goldberg was originally arrested in April 2022 on suspicion of strangling Mr. Schwitzky and attempting to drown him.

In court, Goldberg’s attorneys argued that Goldberg had no intention of harming Schwitsky and that he became disoriented while swimming in strong currents and grabbed Schwitsky by the shoulders to try to stop him from drowning, the Palm Beach Post reported.

Before his court date, Goldberg rejected a plea deal that would have sentenced him to six months in prison, opting instead to appear before a judge in court.

As we previously reported, Schwitzky ended up submerged in water after jumping in to escape a drunken brawl with Goldberg.

The TLC alum testified for nearly two hours in court on the second day of Goldberg’s trial, detailing the events of the fight.

She claimed that the fight started because she was angry that Goldberg threw a soccer ball at her with another man on the boat. Later that day, Goldberg allegedly hit her in the face with a soda can and laughed at her for yelling at him.

The reality star went on to add that an apologetic Goldberg followed her around the boat, but she “wanted to be left alone.”

“He didn’t understand it,” she testified.

Suddenly, Goldberg threw her to the floor of the boat, bit her and dug his nails into her skin before she ran into the water and told her it was over.

She further claimed that the media personality tried to swim to a nearby boat, but Goldberg followed her into the water and eventually caught up with her and captured her.

“I never thought it was about Cole,” Schwitzky testified on March 10.

“But when I was in the water and I looked ahead, I could see Cole’s body and shoulders.”

A bystander named Matt Paris eventually came to the reality star’s aid and broke off the interaction when he intervened.
