Julia Roberts was spotted out and about with two of her three children in New York City on Friday, and it looks like her 19-year-old son has literally surpassed her.
The Oscar-winning actress was pictured with Henry standing head and shoulders above her outside the historic Jane Hotel the day after her 19th birthday.
Roberts was wearing a black suit, what appeared to be a string of pearls, and accessorized with glasses as he spoke with his family.
At one point, she put her arm around his waist as they walked together.
The “Pretty Woman” actress, 58, was joined by her daughter Hazel, 21, and screen icon hairstylist Serge Normand.
Henry attends Pratt Institute in Manhattan, and Hazel studies at Trinity College in Dublin.
Absent from the afternoon sighting were Hazel’s twin brother Finneus, a student at the University of California, Berkeley, and the actress’ cinematographer husband Danny Moder.
Henry is the youngest child of the “Notting Hill” star, whom she married in 2002.
The Erin Brockovich actress took to Instagram in November to share a rare throwback photo of the twins on their 21st birthday.
“These game changers, life changers, (heart) expanders were once 1 year old, now they’re 21! That went fast,” she captioned a snapshot of the siblings sitting in matching high chairs as toddlers. “Happy birthday, dear ones.”
Then, in May 2025, Moder, 57, posted a snapshot of Roberts and her grown children on Instagram, captioning the post on Mother’s Day: “Moms make the coolest things. I love these people.”
In a 2022 interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Roberts confessed that despite her “dream come true” career, her sense of fulfillment in life comes from her family.
“The life I’ve built with my husband and the life I’ve built with my children is the best,” she exclaimed at the time. “At the end of the day, come back to them triumphant.”
