Netflix has released the official trailer for The Big Mistake, a new crime comedy series from creator, showrunner, executive producer, and star Dan Levy.
According to the official synopsis, “The Big Mistake” continues, “Two incompetent brothers, Nicky (Levy) and Morgan (Taylor Ortega), are inadvertently drawn into the world of organized crime and stymied by a misguided theft for their dying grandmother. Blackmailed with increasingly dangerous missions, they clumsily fail and sink deeper into the chaos they are powerless to handle.”
Other cast members include Laurie Metcalfe, Abby Quinn, Boran Kusum, Jack Inanen, Elizabeth Perkins, Mark Ivanir, Ilya Volokh, Jacob Gutierrez, Joe Barbara, and Darren Goldstein.
“I Love L.A.” star Rachel Sennott co-created “The Big Mistake” with Levy and serves as executive producer. Other executive producers include Ann-Marie McGinty, Dean Holland, Etan Frankel and Timothy Greenberg of Not a Real Production Company.
Levy is best known for co-creating and starring in the popular Canadian television comedy Schitt’s Creek. The show won nine Emmy Awards during its six-season run, including Best Supporting Actor for Levy. “Schitt’s Creek,” which also starred Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara and Annie Murphy, tells the story of a wealthy family left penniless after falling victim to a scam.
Levy’s recent television credits include “Standing By,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Sex Education,” “The Idol” and “Q-Force.” His recent film credits include “The Smurfs,” “Unfrosted,” “Good Grief,” “Happy Season,” and “The Haunted Mansion.”
All eight half-hour episodes of “Big Mistakes” were released on Netflix on April 9th.
