The ensemble cast for the new independent youth drama “Sicklerville” has been announced.
Ruby Modine (Happy Death Day), Cody Sannew (Teen Wolf), James Paxton (Last Train to Fortune), Timothy Griffin Allan (I Saw the TV) David Anders (iZombie), Bailey Denmark, Riley Jackson and Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp) are all set to star in the 2008-based drama.
Filmed in South Jersey, “Sicklerville” follows a group of friends through a night of turmoil as addiction, buried grudges and dreams of leaving their hometown threaten to tear them apart forever. As the night progresses, tensions mount, loyalties are tested, and each character is forced to face whether they are doomed to repeat the cycle of their homeland or finally break free.
Modine will play Chelsea and Denmark will play Ashley. Paxton will play Michael, an aspiring film director who wants to leave town, and Saint-New will play Eric, whose reckless choices accelerate the course of the night. Alan plays the charming and dangerous Chuck, while Anders appears as local stubborn Old Head Rick. Jackson appears in a supporting role, with Rose rounding out the ensemble.
“Sicklerville” was written by Jason-Christopher Mayer and Gage Golightly. The pair will also direct and produce under Gala Avary’s Monthly Rose Roof under the Frog Otto Picture Company banner. Production is expected to begin this spring, and the film will be shot entirely in 16mm.
Modine is represented by David Hillick and Paxton is represented by Authentic Talent. Saintgnue is represented by Treadwell Entertainment Group and Allan is represented by Stewart Talent. The Danish national team will be represented by Henderson Repzens.
