Dr. Mikhail Varshavsky candidly revealed that Kristen Bell asked him if she should drink her own pee for health reasons.
The popular TikTok doctor revealed that the “Veronica Mars” star messaged him about ingesting urine “because her friends used to do it” during an episode of her upcoming podcast “The Basement Yard.”
Barshavsky reassured hosts Joe Santagato and Frank Alvarez that revealing the A-lister’s name would not violate the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) since it was not an official patient visit.
The family medicine doctor says to the camera, “Kristen Bell, I can’t believe you were actually thinking about drinking urine.”
Varshavsky explained that he told Bell, 45, out of respect and not to drink the urine, adding: “It turns out one of her castmates was actually making a drink that resembled urine so she would think she was drinking it.”
The trio quipped that the actress’ castmates were convincing enough for her to seek the opinion of TikToker Varshavsky rather than another medical professional.
A representative for Mr. Bell could not immediately be reached for comment to Page Six.
However, the “Frozen” star admitted that she asked Varshavsky for advice during an episode of her husband Dax Shepard’s podcast “Armchair Expert” in September.
Bell, who co-starred with her Nobody Wants This co-star Justin Lupe, revealed that Lupe picked on her while filming the Netflix series.
“Justin and Adam[Brody]were already talking in the car, and God knows what I was doing, but as we got in the car, I heard her say, ‘It’s really nutritious and full of vitamins,'” she shared.
“This whole experience was based on my fussiness. So I thought, ‘What?'” And Justine said, “Have you ever done this?” Would you ever drink your first urine of the day again? ”
Bell admitted in disbelief, recalling how Lupe came to bring fake pee to work to make it look real.
After about five weeks, Lupe finally told her co-star that she was joking.
Ms. Bell recalled Ms. Varshavsky saying that “there were better ways to remineralize, like multivitamins.”
After about five weeks, Ms. Lupe finally told her co-stars that it was a joke, made the entire cast and crew aware that it was a prank, and told Ms. Bell never to make her drink her urine.
