Shia LaBeouf was arrested again in New Orleans just one day after a new arrest warrant was issued.

The “Transformers” actor was taken to the Orleans Parish County Jail at 1:48 p.m. local time Saturday and arrested on suspicion of battery.

As of Page Six’s reporting, it appears the 39-year-old actor remains in custody.

A representative for Mr. LaBeouf did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment, and a representative for the New Orleans Police Department declined to specify the cause of the battery charge.

As Page Six previously reported, a new arrest warrant for LaBeouf was issued by New Orleans police on Friday.

Officials told local news outlet WWL Louisiana that the warrant is related to a Feb. 17 brawl arrest at a Mardi Gras bar.

Officials claimed the incident involved an additional victim involved in LaBeouf’s fight at the New Orleans party spot R Bar.

Mr. LaBeouf was arrested on February 17 on suspicion of brawling, appeared in court on February 26, and was later released on $100,000 bail.

Footage of the altercation showed the “even Stevens” alumnus hurling gay slurs at him and then headbutting one of the men involved.

According to a police report, authorities allege that the “Transformers” star called the men “shit” during the fight and continued to hurl slurs even after police arrived and investigated the altercation.

“I went to prison for these crimes,” LaBeouf said, according to the report. “I’m a Catholic.”

According to reports, one man suffered serious injuries that potentially dislocated his nose in the fight, even though he told the actor he didn’t want to fight.

On Friday, New Orleans police issued a new arrest warrant for the Disney star. He was spotted here in New Orleans earlier this month. 6 page background

The actor was charged with two counts of simple assault, but resumed his racket as soon as he was released from custody.

He was later seen mocking his arrest by stuffing prison documents in his mouth and dancing.

Later, LaBeouf was seen walking into a church on Ash Wednesday and going for a jog in a photo obtained exclusively by Page Six.

On Saturday, LaBeouf defended himself in an interview with Andrew Callahan’s Channel 5.

“Honestly, big gay people are scary to me,” he said in an interview published on YouTube on Saturday.

“When I’m standing alone and there are three gay men next to me touching my feet, it scares me. I’m sorry. If that’s homophobic, then so am I. So am I.”

He also explained that his memory of the events that led to his arrest “happened at one point,” adding, “That’s why I, uh, got arrested.”

LaBeouf confessed in the interview, “I was wrong to touch anyone, and always have been. And this is the end of my statement on this whole thing.”

Elsewhere in the interview, LaBeouf, 39, clarified: “I’m good with gay people, but please be gay over there. Don’t be gay on my lap.”

“That’s why. I was drunk and it was Mardi Gras,” he said. “So everything I’m saying is nonsense.”

Amid the drama, TMZ reported on Saturday that insiders close to LaBeouf claim he was not responsible for his breakup with Mia Goth and that he tried “everything” to save their relationship. However, Goth sources claim that the pair had a drinking problem.

The two quietly separated nearly a year ago, Page Six previously reported.
