Starz has set the premiere date for the fifth and final season of “Power Book III: Raging Kanan,” releasing a first-look teaser that previews the conclusion of the drama centered around one of the most fearsome characters in the “Power” universe.
The series will resume on June 12th. New episodes of the final season will be released every Friday on the Starz app and all Starz streaming and on-demand platforms.
According to Starz, the synopsis for the final season reads: “In Season 5, Kanan’s (Mekai Curtis) true ruthlessness takes shape. He knows exactly who he is and who he must become to defeat his enemies. Kanan joins Southside legend Breeze (Shameik Moore) in cementing his place in the Queens drug business. Their alliance sets the stage for a reckoning that will reverberate for all players in this dangerous game, even if it is the Thomas family that faces collapse.”During their reign, Unique (Joey Bada$$) will fight to protect his legacy, and the Mafia behind the scenes will take its toll, but in the end, this is not the end for Kanan Stark. ”
Power Book III: Raging Kanan is the second spinoff in the ever-expanding Power series. Sasha Penn will serve as showrunner and executive producer for the final season. The series is executive produced by Courtney A. Kemp for End of Episodes, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson for G-Unit Film and Television, and Mark Canton for Canton Entertainment, with Chris Serak also executive producing. Lionsgate Television produces the series for STARZ.
