Spoiler Alert: Details for The Masked Singer Season 14 Episode 7, “Spice Girls Night,” which aired on February 25th on Fox, are below.
“The Masked Singer” headed for the hill for this week’s episode, as Heidi Montag was the latest celebrity to be unmasked on season 14 of the Fox singing reality competition.
Among the panelists, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg answered correctly about Montag. Guest panelist Taraji P. Henson was accompanied by Anna Faris. Ken Jeong thought it was Mandy Moore. Rita Ora also guessed Moore, and Robin Thicke chose Leighton Meester.
In her final appearance, Montag, who plays Snow Cone, hinted that she lost the home she shared with husband Spencer Pratt in last year’s Pacific Palisades fires. “The Spice Girls conquered the world with girl power and left a legacy for future generations. All we can ask of everyone is to pass on something. This is especially true for me and my husband. Together, we built a home where our children could grow up surrounded by love and laughter. And of what… Without warning, everything changed. We lost everything, our pictures, our favorite toys, this is our home where my kids came from the hospital. Putting our lives back together has tested me in a way I never could have.” But you know what I’m learning? Nothing good or bad lasts forever. But love is our heritage. ”
In another clue package on the show, Montag hinted at her music career, saying, “I put everything I had into this song. I even turned down a record deal with David Foster. But when I released it… For years, I was devastated. But when I was at my lowest, everyone started buying my music again, and this album became No. 1 again.”
Here’s what she said on night one of this season: “I came here to clear the air. I was misunderstood. You see, from day one I knew I was destined to be a star. Sure, I was only modeling snow boots for a children’s catalog. But I had it all. And , and lo and behold, I finally got my big break. I got to be on one of the most popular shows on TV, until one moment I was kicked to the curb and the headlines said all the lies about me. And ever since then, I’ve been trying to dispel that image…and I’ll prove those people wrong. ”
Ora, along with the rest of the show’s contestants, opened the show by singing one of the Spice Girls’ classic songs, “Spice Up Your Life.” Guest panelist Taraji P. Henson (who revealed Scarab’s true identity earlier this season) also attended, dressed as “Scarab Spice,” aka Scary Spice. McCarthy Wahlberg was dressed as Baby Spice, Ora was dressed as Posh Spice, Chic was dressed as Ginger Spice, and Chong was dressed as “Old Spice.”
In this week’s episode, the bottom two were Crane and Snow Cone. The two battled it out by performing their own versions of the Spice Girls’ “Stop.” Crane is saved and Snowcone is revealed as Montag.
With Snow Cone gone, High Voltage, Pangolin, Nasu, Galaxy Girl, Stingray, Cat Witch, Pugcasso, and Crane remain in the competition.
Heidi Montag (Snow Cone) joins Billy Ray Cyrus (Owl), Teddi Mellencamp (Cara Lily), Claudia Oshley (Queen Corgi), Taraji P. Henson (Scarab), Tone Locke (Handyman), Tiffany Haddish (Le Fou Fou), Todd and Julie Chrisley (Croissant), and David “Big Papi” Ortiz (Google). Eyes) is the first time celebrities have ever unmasked on ‘The Masked Singer’ season 14.
Season 14 will see the return of host Nick Cannon and panelists McCarthy Wahlberg, Chung, Ora, and Thicke.
New this season is “America’s Insider,” where singer, dancer and social media personality Kylie Cantrall shares behind-the-scenes hints and tips with viewers. Twist: Cantrall wears a cat witch costume, but only removes her mask for the viewer. So the viewers know who she is, but the panelists don’t.
“The Masked Singer” Season 14-themed episodes include homages to “Star Trek,” the ’90s comedy “Clueless,” the comic book series “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and the blockbuster movie “The Twilight Saga.” Fox’s new “Fear Factor” reboot will also feature “Fear Factor: House of Fear Night” host Johnny Knoxville, and “Ozzfest Night” will honor the late rocker Ozzy Osbourne, including a special tribute by “The Masked Singer” alum Kelly Osbourne (Season 2’s Ladybug) paying tribute to her father’s musical influence.
