Robert Carradine was active on Instagram and recording podcast episodes in the days leading up to his heartbreaking death.

The late actor promoted his “Party Nerds Pop-Cast” interview with Christopher Atkins and Jesse Hatch on social media earlier this month, and on February 3, he shared a group shot with guest Don Wilson.

“Don Wilson shared so many great stories on this week’s episode!” he told his followers at the time.

The “Lizzie McGuire” alum posted a photo of herself sitting on a couch with Wilson and a photo of herself smiling with co-host Richard Gavai.

The podcast began in July 2025, and Ms. Gabai, 62, posted a captionless photo in her Story on Monday to honor Ms. Carradine, hours after news of the “Revenge of the Nerds” star’s death broke.

Carradine’s last public appearance was in November 2025, when she walked the red carpet for Three Killer Pigs.

Carradine’s loved ones wrote: “In a world that felt so dark, Bobby was always a beacon of light to those around him.”

“We are saddened by the loss of this beautiful soul and would like to pay tribute to Bobby’s brave fight against bipolar disorder for nearly 20 years,” they added.

“We hope his journey will shine a light and encourage us to address the stigma of mental illness,” the statement concluded.

Social media tributes to Carradine have been pouring in from both his former co-stars and famous family members.

Goonies alumnus Martha Plimpton, Carradine’s niece, said her “dear, loving, nonjudgmental” uncle was full of “essential kindness” and that she “will miss him very much.”

As for Hilary Duff, who played Carradine’s daughter on “Lizzie McGuire” for two seasons, she wrote, “This hurts. It’s really hard to face this reality about an old friend.”
